The base also accommodates various mounting methods, including octagonal and single-gang back boxes, 4-square back boxes, or direct mounting with drywall anchors.

Once the base is installed, the i3 detector head can be easily attached using the Stop-Drop ‘N Lock™ action. This tool-free design allows for quick and secure attachment, reducing installation time and effort.
