Description

The integrity speaker – a high-quality notification appliance suitable for indoor applications and intended for public mode applications.

Installation

Note: The designation Top on the boxes denotes the orientation of the box after installation.

Install these products under the requirements in the latest edition of NFPA 72 and electrical codes.

To install the speaker, select a mounting method. Install the electrical box using suitable hardware. Attach the mounting plate to the electrical box.

Bring the installation wiring into the electrical box from a compatible control panel. That provides a voltage matching the input voltage rating of the speaker. Ground per local codes and regulations.

Determine the desired sound level power tap. Connect the positive wire for the intended speaker power output to the appropriate terminal. Located on the back of the speaker. Connect the negative wire.

Do not loop the signal circuit field wires around the terminals.

Mount the speaker on the mounting plate.

The inside of the top of the speaker assembly has hinges that pass through cutouts. Engage with tabs on the mounting plate. With the bottom of the grille lifted out slightly. Place the grille over the mounting plate.

Seat the speaker assembly onto the mounting flange, By pressing in at the bottom, above the screw. Guide the wires over the flange into the electrical box.

Fasten the bottom of the grille to the mounting plate using the captive combination drive screw.

Apply power and activate the speaker unit to verify that it – operating properly.
