The Edwards GSA-CRH Control Relay Module is an intelligent addressable high-power relay module designed for use with compatible Edwards Signature Series fire alarm systems. The Edwards GSA-CRH Control Relay Module provides a reliable interface between the fire alarm control panel and external devices requiring high-voltage or high-current switching. Therefore, it is ideal for controlling equipment such as door holders, fans, dampers, HVAC shutdown circuits, and other life safety functions.
The Edwards GSA-CRH Control Relay Module provides one programmable relay with two Form C contact sets. As a result, the module can control external equipment in response to fire alarm system events. In addition, both relay contact sets transfer simultaneously when the module is activated or restored.
The GSA-CRH is specifically designed for applications requiring high-power switching. Consequently, it supports loads rated up to 120/240 VAC or 24 VDC. Moreover, the relay can be used for controlling door closers, fan controllers, dampers, equipment shutdown circuits, and similar devices.
The Edwards GSA-CRH communicates through the Signature Series signaling line circuit (SLC). Therefore, each module occupies a single address on the loop and is electronically programmed by the control panel. Furthermore, there are no address switches or rotary dials to set, simplifying installation and commissioning.
As part of the Signature Series platform, the module supports automatic device mapping. As a result, the fire alarm system can identify the module’s location relative to other devices on the loop. Additionally, distributed intelligence improves system response time and reduces sensitivity to wiring characteristics and electrical noise.
The Edwards GSA-CRH Control Relay Module features removable terminal blocks that simplify wiring and future replacement.
