Alarm Panel Dialer Surge Protector

This Surge Protection Device i s a high-performance device. It i s designed to protect sensitive electronic loads connected to service, the panels, and fire panels. Or where the SPD i s directly connected to the electronic device. Maximum protection will only b e achieved if the SPD i s properly installed. 

Surge suppression for installations using an RJ45 connector on series voice or data circuits.
Measure all voltages to ensure the applied voltage does not exceed the voltage rating of the unit. Improper installation voids the warranty.
Turn off the power to the circuit.
Using an RJ45 tipped supply/patch cable, connect the cable assembly to the “IN” side of the MRJ.
Using a 3’ RJ45 tipped patch cord, connect the equipment to the “OUT” side of the MRJ.
Connect the ground lead to the ground terminal on the MRJ product. Make sure the ground lead is as short as possible.
Ground Resistance Rule: Max ground resistance is 25 Ohms, and 5 Ohms or less is optimum. This cannot b e assumed value and must b e measured to assure proper grounding.
For mounting, use the double-sided tape (supplied), or two #8 screws (not supplied).
Restore power.
